Astronomia periférica
Using satelistica to “audify” and visualize the sky
Bogotá, Casa de cultura de Tunjuelito, 2013
A green-laser cannon built on top of an arduino and visuals programmed while flying to Colombia, made up a single but memorable exhibition in a neighborhood located on the periphery of the Colombian Capital.
I was Invited by Jaime Forero, Professor of the University of los Andes, to participate in a series of projects about making astronomy accessible and attractive for a wide audience. In this case the laser in the picture points to the highest satellite passing over the local sky, following it in real time, and generating sound from a database of modified satellite recordings.
